Organic Stoneground Strong 5 Malted 5 Seed Flour

This is a sophisticated blend of stoneground wheat flour, Malted Wheatflakes, Sunflower Seeds, Pumpkin Seeds, Golden Linseeds, Sesame Seeds & Fennel Seeds which can add variety to your diet and give your health a boost.

Golden Linseeds have proved to be an important source of Omega 3 fatty acids.  Seeds naturally contain Omega 6 and Omega 3 fats, both of which are polyunsaturated and many help maintain a healthy heart when eaten as part of a balanced, low fat diet.

Innovative chef Claude Bosi who has 2 Michelin stars and 4 AA rosettes has created a recipe for 'Seeded Sundried Tomato Bread', and Matt Scott the owner and miller from Bacheldre Watermill has created a recipe for 'The Millers Loaf'.

  Organic Stoneground Strong Unbleached White flour has been gently dressed to sift out the bran.  We don’t pass our white flour through any bleaching/heating processes to artificially whiten it.  Very small particles of bran pass through the sieve and this characterises the natural wheaten colour of the bread. Ideal for bread making.

 

Organic Stoneground Strong 100% Wholemeal flour is just that – 100% wholemeal flour, nothing added and nothing taken away.  The bread made will be full flavoured and very satisfying!  Try blending with up to 50% white for a lighter texture.  Ideal for bread making.

    Organic Stoneground Strong Malted Blend flour makes an excellent Granary type loaf. A Blend of Unbleached White Flour, 100%Wholemeal and specially malted rolled wheat flakes.  This produces a wholesome loaf with a sweet malted taste and crunchy texture.  Ideal for bread making.

Organic Stoneground Durum Flour is made from the finely ground, exceptionally high quality, Italian durum wheat.  Durum is high in protein and gluten making it the wheat of choice for Pasta and Pizza bases.

    Organic Stoneground Rye Flour is milled from a hardy cereal grass, rye flour contains less gluten than wholemeal flour. For that reason, it won't produce a well-risen loaf of bread without the addition of some higher-protein flour.  It is ideal for sourdoughs, German and Scandinavian breads.

 

Organic Stoneground Spelt Flour  is an ancient relative of modern wheat, it has a delicious and distinctive nutty wheaty flavour.  Spelt contains gluten which makes it ideal for bread making; the gluten, however is more fragile than that found in wheat, making it easier to digest.  Ideal for bread making.

 

   Organic Stoneground Fine Wholemeal flour is specially produced by milling the wheat until it is finely ground.  It is excellent for chapattis, pastry making and for baking & bread making. 

 

 Organic Stoneground Strong Brown flour makes a very traditional brown loaf.  This flour is produced in the same way as the White flour but with a slightly coarser sifting and therefore includes a proportion of fine bran.  This produces excellent rolls, brown bread or Bara Brith.  Ideal for bread making.

   

     Organic Stoneground Fine Bran Flakes are a great treat, add to muesli or cereals, fruit cakes or yoghurt.

     Stoneground Strong Traditional 100% Bacheldre Wholemeal is milled from local wheat grown, as it would have been done over 200 years ago.  It is a truly local flour with minimal food milesIdeal for bread making.
